Antivirus Xp 2008 Problems. Please Help.

Thursday, November 21, 2013: The THREATCON was changed to Level 1: Normal | Tue., Nov. 05, 2013: Zero-Day Vulnerability: Microsoft Security Advisory 2896666 | Saturday, November 09, 2013: Cyber-Criminals Serve Up A It took me 10 minutes!! This will remove your existing AV program so make sure that you have the original disks to re-install afterwards. Please refer to our CNET Forums policies for details. http://100linux.com/antivirus-xp/antivirus-xp-2008-and-other-problems.html

Then it got worse i started getting tons of pop ups, every time i uninstall and delete this Spyware Guard 2008 and reinstalls itself. Finally, I got the latest version of the Spy-bot S & D with a latest update in file. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\tdss (Trojan.Agent) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully. Also, since I removed the antivirus, I can no longer print anything off the internet and I don't get any sound from anything on the internet.  Does anyone know how to fix these problems? see here

Do you have the same desktop 'Windows Warning'background as I did?  The 4 Norton Security Response actions did not help me get rid of this! It is hiding in too many places. We just discuss any problems here in the forum.4. I have a business in computers.

Its blocked my internet access and browsing. Do you know how to do this? Astinkilgj  Stu Guru Norton Fighter25 Reg: 08-Apr-2008 Posts: 4,672 Solutions: 18 Kudos: 297 Kudos1 Stats Re: Antivirus XP 2008 Posted: 18-Aug-2008 | 10:36PM • Permalink You may want to upgrade to I used Dragons suggestion .

What's a master screen name? Tried next to uninstall it using Add/Remove Programs and it wouldn't and gave me a Windows error report screen which I clicked to send.  Tried System Restore to go back and Thursday, November 21, 2013: The THREATCON was changed to Level 1: Normal | Tue., Nov. 05, 2013: Zero-Day Vulnerability: Microsoft Security Advisory 2896666 | Saturday, November 09, 2013: Cyber-Criminals Serve Up A https://www.cnet.com/forums/discussions/antivirus-xp-2008-302475/ Ask the experts!

ClamWin Free Antivirus is based on ClamAV engine and uses GNU General Public License by the Free Software Foundation, and is free (as in freedom) software. I tried using the malwarebytes removal (as Marianna in the next reply suggested)and it did not take care of it. Promote ClamWin Free Antivirus on the Internet and in the press. Schedule a boot time scan in Avast with the advanced option to move infected items to the chest: start Avast, right-click in the main window, select Schedule Boot-time Scan, select advanced

good luck guys, it sucks this stuff exists. I got the the tabs back on my properties display.  I do have some other problems though. For some reason, I don't have the option to set my desktop.  The only background option Improve the documentation. Do you have the same desktop 'Windows Warning'background as I did?  The 4 Norton Security Response actions did not help me get rid of this!

You can use information about how these programs operate to choose whether to allow them to run or remove them from your computer. There are also other way's of removing the rogue, with programs which aren't as questionable as Enigma's Spy Hunter. Murrow Replies are locked for this thread. I couldn't even get to my c drive as it was not showing up.

Make sure you have a registry backup before you delete anything! It only takes a couple of processes to get rid of the trojans the spyware has kindly downloaded without your permission. Then I ran AVG antivirus free edition (version 8 I think).
