Some are completely useless, and you'll never notice the loss. But I regularly remove the temp files from the I.E. Clean them out, disable one service at a time, reboot, and take a look. Note: This will sort the files in the Temp folder by date.
I'm now down to 28 processes after startup. It also can't restore non-Windows files, which makes it useless as a true restoration program, IMHO. Thanks. I see these files when VMware v4.x is installed. Then browse to the C:\Windows\Temp folder and delete all files in it. i able to open & copy files but can't delete it or format solved Need Help Please.

No errors, and no problems running programs and acccessing the 'Net ... I used a VSB script called "msconfigdisabled" from Kelly's Korner to remove any disabled items, and that allowed a normal startup. (Number 148, on the right.) This also allowed But I have to break the "rule" here as I can NOT see what is "wrong" on his computer. McAfee firewall alerted me to this an hour ago when it reported that KAeCq3.exe wanted access to the internet, not knowing what it was I denied it.
